2010 EVENTS

Live in the Toronto area? Like to do a lot of, ahem, "interesting" stuff? Or maybe you've just been wondering just how the f*k I find out about all the crazy events I shoot in TO? Break out the calendar. I'll share my "regular" photography schedule. Here's a run down of some of the events I'll be hitting in 2010 which might also interest you...

January 29th - February 11th - Wintercity. Free, all ages. Fire shows from Burning Man veterans the Flaming Lotus Girls and vertical circus-style entertainment from Parisian troupe Companie Des Passagers. Various shows run Friday to Sunday nights at Nathan Philips Square. There's nothing like a spectacle to liven up winter. Details here.

February 6th - "An Evening with Kevin Smith" returns to TO. $$$. Probably not for kids. Ticketmaster.

February 12-21st - Canadian International Auto Show. Brain goes vroom. All ages, $. www.autoshow.ca

June 26th-27th - Pack your ID and gas mask! The all-knowing, ever-wise Canadian guberment brings the G20 conference to one of the suckiest venues in TO. Are you ready for the giant citywide migraine created by a security zone that encompasses most of the downtown? For this, they rescheduled Pride. http://g20.gc.ca/

All ages, $$-$$$. www.mosport.com

Note: this list doesn't include a LOT of stuff... like the local light saber battles, underwear runs, flash mobs, ninja day, pirate day, ninja versus pirate days, etc... Toronto's own matsuris and optimal cherry blossom viewing times... Toronto Steampunk Society events still being conceived... tattoo conventions... classic car rallies... big music fests... or the many other annual happenings across Ontario. The dates for many of these events are still TBA but I'll update this list as I hear more.
